I want me free, I want you free. Zoraida” is a mural created by Sojo in June 2019.

MURALS
Commissioned by the City Council, to raise public awareness within the “State Pact against Gender Violence”. It represents the broken torso of a woman – a broken woman – with her wrists tied, trying to cut the cord that prevents her freedom of movement, which contrasts with the harmony of a vintage decoration of flowers, of a seemingly normal life.
Sojo has made several versions of this theme, using two models: Zoraida and Alba. Thus can be seen “I want to be free, I want you free. Alba” in Garvín de la Jara and in Abertura, while in Don Benito there is another mural with Zoraida as a model.
